Join Our Machine-Made ProductsTeam !

We are looking for a number ofProduction Operatives to join our Machine - MadeProductsteam, which was formed last yearas the result of us winning amajor new contract. Full training will be provided but experience in a food manufacturing facility would be an advantage.

These exciting 4-day-per-week positions* command abase salary of £12.50 per hour, with an enhanced rate of £15.63 per hour for more than half of the shift**. Furthermore, our pay banding system allowsopportunities to increase your hourly wageas you progress through yourtraining, especially if you are mechanically minded and would like to take on more responsibility!

* 15:00 to 00:30 Monday - Thursday (4 days of work, 34 hours per week)
** enhanced rate isfor hours between 8pm and 6am and for hours over 37.5 per week
Example Responsibilities:
  • Machine Setup: You could be responsible for the initial setup of our production machines at the beginning of each shift, ensuring they are set up correctly for the shift
  • Line Operation: You could be in charge of operating the production line, making sure it runs at the optimal speed to produce thousands ofproducts per hour!
  • Supplying the Production Lines: You could be responsible for keeping our production lines well-supplied with thedelicious fillings created by our Mix Room teams.
  • Mass producing pastry to supply the production line.
  • Depositor Operation: Operating depositors is another important aspect of the role, ensuring that products are accurately filled.
  • Hand Finished Products: In the case of hand finished products, such as cheese and baconturnovers,you will be responsible for precise manual application of cheese and baconand the folding of each pastry parcel.
  • Waste Management: We take waste and yield management seriously, and you may be responsible for collecting and handling waste properly to maintain a clean and efficient work environment for the production of high quality pastry delights.
  • Quality Control: Performing weight checks on completed productsis vital to our quality control efforts, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards.
  • Decorative Touch: Adding the finishing touches to bespoke products by applying decorative elements could also be a part of your role from time to time.
  • Topping Application: For products that require toppings, you could operate the topper equipment to guarantee the precise application of toppings, such as herbs and rusk.
  • Glazer Operation: Operating glazers could bea part of your role, which involves ensuring it is functioning correctly, offering consistent glaze coverage and at the correct speed.
  • Team Support: You'll be part of a close-knit team with a dedicated team leader always available to provide help and guidance.
  • Training Program: We provide full andcomprehensive training. You'll undergo a training program that prioritises quality and efficiency, turning you into a food manufacturingpro in no time!

Please note this is a physically demanding roleand will involve lifting multiple heavy itemsduringthe shift which can be up to 25kg in weight.
