Job description

Our client in Gillingham has ongoing long-term temporary work available. Priority will be given to candidates with experience in assembling parts or possessing electronic skills such as wiring, soldering, crimping, etc.

Production Operatives are required for the following rotating shifts:

The shifts rotate weekly, e.g., one week early shift, then one week late shift. Static shifts are NOT available.

There will be an assessment day on Thursday 9/1/25, paid at £11.44 per hour. Successful candidates will then move to rotating shift work.

Rotating shifts:

  • Week one - 6am – 2pm, Mon to Thurs, 6am – 1pm on Friday
  • Week two - 2pm-10pm, Monday to Thursday, and 1pm-8pm on Friday

PAYE via React Recruitment Ltd.

  • Product assembly – small parts – wiring, crimping, soldering
  • Machine operating (training will be provided)
  • Product quality checking
  • Product labelling

This role involves standing for long periods on the production line. Candidates must be comfortable using hand tools and equipment to manufacture small electronic parts.

Selection will be made after attending an induction day, where your skills and suitability for training will be assessed. This includes having good dexterity and hand-to-eye coordination.

You will also be required to undertake an online colour blindness test prior to your CV being submitted or attending an interview.
