Job Title:Production Operative
Location:Yeovil
Hours:Monday to Thursday, 07:30 – 16:30, Friday 07:30 – 13:30
Pay Rate:£12.21 per hour
Contract Type:Temporary to Permanent (Typically 6 months via agency)

Job Overview:
We’re currently looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Production Operative to join our team, supporting our existing staff with the quality assurance of finished metal products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handling large metal castings weighing up to 25kg and measuring up to 2 metres in length
• Operating in a dedicated X-Ray inspection room to perform quality checks on components
• Accurately recording test results using basic numeracy and formula application
• Following all health and safety procedures when handling materials and equipment
• Assisting with general warehouse duties as required

Requirements:

• Good level of physical fitness (manual handling involved)
• Basic numeracy and ability to apply simple formulas
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Progression Opportunities:

• Temp-to-perm opportunity after approximately 6 months
