Job summary

Time Recruitment Solutions Ltd is currently assisting a client based in Wythenshawe, Manchester, seeking production/machine operatives on a temp to perm basis.

Responsibilities include operating machinery, ensuring safety, maintaining housekeeping, completing required forms, and ensuring traceability of wire reels while adhering to PPE and data input duties.

Qualifications

• Basic data input and computer literacy.
• Willingness to wear PPE and follow safety procedures.

• Complete RALF Forms whenever hazards are identified and take safe corrective action.
• Check machinery before start-up to ensure safe operation and guards are working.
• Report any defects in equipment with priority to safety issues.
• Ensure feed wire matches the Job Card and maintain full traceability of materials.
• Set machinery to standard, test wire at start-up and during operation.
• Label each reel/drum with clear identification and traceability back to raw material.
• Basic data input duties are required.

Job description

My Client are one of the leading manufacturers in their industry. Based from their site in Wythenshawe, Manchester.

They are looking for Production/Machine operatives to join their team on a temp to perm basis.

Duties associated with this position are as follows:

• Process wire as required on the Works Order card and to the standard required
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in your work area
• Wear PPE as required by company policy and appropriate to your task
• Complete RALF Forms whenever you identify a hazard or potential hazard. Take action yourself if safe and competent to do so to clear the hazard or potential hazard
• Check machinery over prior to start up ensuring that it is in working order and machine guarding and interlocks are working effectively
• Report any defects in equipment ensuring that safety issues in particular are treated with priority
• Ensure that the feed wire is sufficient and correct to the Job Card and ensure that traceability of all material is achieved o Set machinery to achieve the standard, test wire at start up to ensure it meets the standard and at required intervals during the running of the process.
• Label each completed reel/drum pack of wire ensuring that it is readily identifiable and full traceability back to the raw material is achieved

There will be some basic data input requirements so computer literacy is important.

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 07.30 to 16.30 and Friday 07:30 to 12:00

12 week temp to perm.

Safety boots required.

This is a production based position and heavy lifting can be part of the day to day duties.
