Job summary

Kenect Recruitment Ltd is recruiting Production Operatives on behalf of a well-established packaging manufacturer. You will start at the Aldridge site, with future moves to the Wednesbury site.

In this busy manufacturing environment you will receive full training. The role covers operating production machinery, measuring and cutting materials, quality checks, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace to meet daily targets.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; full training provided.
• Basic reading of drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture packaging products across different areas of production.
• Operate production machinery to produce cardboard packaging and timber pallets.
• Use power tools and hand tools safely.
• Measure and cut materials according to specs.
• Read basic drawings and specifications.
• Operate gluing, stapling and stenciling machines.
• Carry out quality checks on products.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Work efficiently to meet daily production targets.

You will initially be based at the Aldridge site, with operations moving to the Wednesbury site in the future.

The Role

As a Production Operative, you will be involved in the manufacturing of packaging products, working across different areas of production.

• Working with timber to manufacture wooden pallets
• Operating production machinery to manufacture cardboard packaging
• Using power tools and hand tools safely
• Measuring and cutting materials
• Reading basic drawings and specifications
• Operating gluing, stapling, and stenciling machines
• Carrying out quality checks
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Working efficiently to meet daily production targets

Previous experience within manufacturing, machine operating, or using power tools would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
