Our client is actively seeking a Process Operative for a leading manufacturing facility in the Tamworth area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading supplier to the construction & aggregates industry.
Your responsibilities as a Process Operative will include:-
- Manufacture products on a Right First Time basis whilst following company procedures and observing all Health and Safety requirements.
- Ensuring that you are observing and maintaining Health & Safety standards for yourself and your colleagues
- Monitoring the successful operation of a number of production lines and heavy duty machinery
- Replenishing the lines with relevant packaging in accordance with the product being mixed
- Work to 5S standards and promote 5S standards to other colleagues
- Flagging any quality or maintenance issues to a supervisor as and when they arise
- Completion of first on/last off checks, along with accompanying production paperwork
- Conducting some lifting and palletising of goods weighing up to 20kg per unit
- Ensuring that you are maintaining a high level of housekeeping and cleanliness in your working area
- Operating the Forklift truck in accordance with the company needs
In order to be successful for this role, you will need to provide the following:-
- Proven experience of at least 6 months in manufacturing / process plant, or as a Machine Operative
- Willingness to extend beyond purely the responsibilities of an operative, in order to help support your wider colleagues
- Comfortable with working in a dynamic environment with fast-moving machines and stringent targets
- A good sense of humour and ability to assimilate well with others
- Ability to plan, organise and anticipate production demands, and to put forth ideas to help streamline processes going forward
- Self-sufficient and able to apply your own initiative
Hours of work will largely be on a day shift, across any of the following shifts:

Also on occasion, the business may require people to commit to a night shift, on a short-term relief basis. The hours for this would be as follows:
