Job summary

Humdinger Ltd currently has openings for Production Operatives at our Sherburn in Elmet site. You will work in a fast-paced confectionery manufacturing environment, producing high-quality products for UK customers. Starting rate is £15.08 per hour (Grade 2) with progression to £16.08 per hour (Grade 3) and overtime at 150%.

Two shift patterns are available: 12-hour rotating shifts or 4 on/4 off, with various weekly schedules. Interviews will be arranged on site after screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate confectionery production processes including moulding, coating, polishing and panning.
• Monitor equipment performance and report issues promptly.
• Follow recipes, production plans and process controls accurately.
• Complete quality, food safety and CCP checks.
• Handle raw materials and production ingredients safely.
• Complete cleaning and hygiene tasks to required standards.
• Maintain accurate production and traceability records.
• Support continuous improvement activities within your area.

Overview

Production Operative (Multiple roles available)

Humdinger Ltd, Sherburn in Elmet, LS25

As a Production Operative, you'll play a key role in creating the confectionery products that reach customers across the UK. You'll work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Starting rate Grade 2 £15.08 per hour, with the potential of overtime at 150% and progressing to Grade 3 at £16.08 per hour.

Shift pattern: We have two shift patterns available - the choice is yours!

• 12-hour rotating shifts (days 6am-6pm & nights 6pm-6am) with NO Friday night, Saturday day, Saturday night or Sunday day shift working.
  • Week 1: 3 day shifts, followed by 2 days off
  • Week 2: 3 night shifts, followed by 5 days off
  • Week 3: 2 day shifts + 2 night shifts, followed by 5 days off, then repeat

OR

• Monday - Sunday, 4 on 4 off, 06:00 - 18:00

Interviews: Monday - Thursday, 10:30 or 14:30 or 16:00 and Fridays 10:30 0r 14:00 (If you cannot attend at these times, please let us know)

• Experience working in a manufacturing or food production environment.

Desirable:

• Food manufacturing experience.
• Food Safety Level 2 qualification.
• Health & Safety qualification.
• Experience supporting or coaching colleagues.
