Job summary

Humdinger Ltd in Sherburn in Elmet seeks a Logistics Operative to move materials between warehouse, production and packing areas and to ensure stock is accurately tracked and delivered on time.

The role involves 12-hour rotating shifts (days 6am-6pm and nights 6pm-6am) with a 12-hour pay rate of £13.82 per hour and a permanent full-time contract. Close date 28/08/2026, with emphasis on stock control, safety procedures and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience using warehouse management, ERP or stock control systems (SAP, Sage, QAD or similar).
• Experience maintaining stock accuracy and stock control processes.
• Experience transacting materials within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Confident using technology and computer-based systems.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Move materials accurately between warehouse, production and packing departments.
• Ensure stock is delivered to the correct location at the right time.
• Complete stock checks, PIMA checks and stock investigations.
• Maintain accurate stock records and support inventory control.
• Move finished goods from production lines to dispatch areas.
• Report stock variances, hazards and operational concerns promptly.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Support colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement activities.

Position details

Position type Permanent Full-Time

Breaks 3 x 20 minutes paid

Pay range £13.82 per hour

Shift pattern 12-hour rotating shifts (days 6am-6pm & nights 6pm-6am) with NO Friday night, Saturday day, Saturday night or Sunday day shift working.

Shift schedule

• Week 1 3 day shifts, followed by 2 days off
• Week 2 3 night shifts, followed by 5 days off
• Week 3 2 day shifts + 2 night shifts, followed by 5 days off, then repeat
