Overview

Arla Foods Taw Valley, EX20 2DA. Production Operative (Cheese). Arla Foods Taw Valley are looking for a responsible Production Operative who is interested in embracing a new challenge with a rare and exciting opportunity to join the Cheese Production team at our Taw Valley Creamery.

We are looking for somebody who is highly motivated with great communicating skills, who is happy to work within a small team and critical department of the business.

Responsibilities

• As a Production Operative, you will be reporting into the Operations Team Leader playing a lead role within the department, overseeing the cheese making process and fixing any process failures. This role will be working a 4 on/4 off shift pattern, which will include 12 hour shifts.
• Responsible for supporting resolving day-to-day production issues & making process equipment available for maintenance.
• Completing daily cleaning of equipment - draining table, salting table & floors during the washdown process.
• Replenish cultures on a daily basis & complete stock take on a weekly basis to ensure correct quantity is available.
• Responsible for placing culture delivery's in correct locations ( freezers & fridges) & recording data on spreadsheet.
• Monitor and record freezer temperatures & complete audits to ensure department KPI's are achieved and that any deviations from standard are recorded and communicated to the Operations Team Leader.
• Work closely with maintenance and other members of the team to ensure lost time due to breakdowns is minimized.
