A leading company in the manufacturing sector is seeking a Production Line Assistant to support the efficient operation of their production line. Salary: £27,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm
Production Support
The Production Line Assistant supports the efficient operation of the production line by performing tasks such as preparing materials for production runs, monitoring equipment, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring products meet quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, team Key Responsibilities:
Assist in setting up and preparing the production line for operations, ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are ready.
Operate machinery and equipment as instructed, adhering to standard operating procedures.
Monitor the production process to ensure smooth workflow and address minor issues or escalate them to supervisors.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet company standards for quality and consistency.
Maintenance & Organisation
Keep the production area clean and organized, ensuring tools and equipment are stored correctly.
Conduct basic maintenance on machinery as needed and report any technical issues to the management team.
Health & Safety
Follow all health and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Report any hazards, accidents, or unsafe practices to the appropriate personnel.
Essential
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift objects up to 20kg and perform repetitive tasks.
Desirable
Familiarity with industry-standard machinery and equipment.
Knowledge of workplace safety regulations.
Forklift certification or experience.
Work Environment
Fast-paced production floor with exposure to noise and machinery.
Must be comfortable wearing PPE such as gloves, masks, safety glasses, or ear protection.

Efficiency in meeting daily/weekly production targets.
Adherence to safety protocols and cleanliness standards.
