Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is looking for General Operatives to work for our client based in the LE4 area of Leicester, a packaging manufacturing company.

The Job:

• There are 2 departments needing new staff on an ongoing basis.
• Both departments have 2 shifts available: 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday.

Finishing/Stripping:

• This role involves feeding materials into a machine, quality checking, and packing the finished products.
• Loading items onto pallets is also required.

Warehouse Belt:

• This position is in the warehouse department, involving loading and unloading boxes from a moving belt and loading onto pallets.
• The work can be heavy; the average box weighs 7kg, with some up to 14kg.
• You will also need to use hand scanners to scan barcodes on boxes.

About you:

• Previous experience in manufacturing, print, or packaging is beneficial but not essential.
• Hardworking with common sense and care for your work is more important.
• You must be able to commute to the LE4 area of Leicester for early or late shifts.
• You need to be able to lift boxes weighing up to 14kg.
