Job description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Hemel Hempstead based manufacturer, who are looking for Production, Assembly and Machine Operatives to join their growing team. Our client are the creators of bespoke workspace furniture.


The key role of a Production Operative is to deliver high quality products using beam saws, edge banders, CNC drills and assembling furniture.


Duties:
  1. Multi-skilled operator to work on machinery and assembly areas
  2. Follow design & instructions for assembly of furniture
  3. Cutting material to bespoke measurements
  4. Fitting of final components to furniture
  5. Full accountability and flexibility in working hours to ensure each day's schedule is delivered
  6. Communicate with upstream and downstream operations to ensure consistent work flow
  7. Assess daily performance with the Team Leader and Lean Manufacturing manager to identify areas for continuous improvement
  8. Ensure quality checks are completed

Hours:
  1. Monday - Friday (early finish on Friday)
  2. 07:00AM-16:00PM
  3. Overtime available
  4. £11-13 per hour
