Job description

A leading FMCG manufacturer is looking for Production Operatives/Machine Operators to join our modern, automated, and clean site in the centre of Gloucester.

PAY: £14.29-32.23 shift dependent

HOURS: Mix of 12-hour days and nights shifts on a 4 on 4 off pattern. Candidates must be fully flexible to work in line with business requirements.

DURATION: The initial assignment is until the end of August. The right candidate may be invited to work on the full pattern from January 2026 or offered opportunities with our partner sites.

Responsibilities:

• Use appropriate material handling equipment to move products and materials efficiently and safely.
• Operate machinery/equipment to meet targets.
• Perform quality checks on products.
• Accurately collect and record data from the production line.
• Maintain strict hygiene standards in the production area.
• Package products.
• Conduct cleaning and allergen control regimes.
• Follow policies and procedures related to product age and quality.

Person Specification:

• Qualifications in Reading and Comprehension, Writing, and Mathematics at the national school leaver level.
• Experience in manufacturing or production preferred, ideally within the food industry, but training will be provided.
• Strong team worker with a sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
• Competent in basic IT skills.
