£31,500 (including shift allowance) plus guaranteed overtime and benefits

You will be working a shift pattern of 4 days on / 4 days off (Monday to Sunday), 12-hour shifts from 05:30 am to 05:30 pm.

We are currently recruiting an experienced and reliable Production Operative to join our team in Bishopbriggs.

What will you do?

You will work as part of our manufacturing team to carry out duties related to the efficient manufacturing of high-quality products, utilizing operational techniques to produce the UK's leading roof tiles. This includes manual handling with tools, machinery, and mechanical handling equipment. You will work in an environment where safety, quality, waste reduction, and OEE targets are prioritized.

A flexible approach to working hours is essential to meet production demands, which may require tasks outside your usual area or travel for training or other requirements.

Overtime is paid at time and a third and is readily available for those willing to work additional hours.

Since the role involves working closely with production machinery, it is important that the successful candidate understands the basic workings of plant equipment. An aptitude for working with automatic systems and man-machine interfaces is essential.

What skills are required?
  • Experience in a small/medium manufacturing environment
  • FLT counterbalance license (preferred but not essential)
  • Team player with attention to detail
  • Good command of English, both oral and written
  • A proactive individual looking to improve processes
