Overview

Arla Foods – Production Operative at Settle Dairy, BD24 9AE.

As our new Production Operative at our Settle Dairy you will play an integral part in the production of our Lacto-Free products. You will monitor the running of our production lines, ensuring key targets are achieved on a rotating continental 12‑hour shift pattern covering both days and nights. The shift pattern is over 4 weeks and includes 8 consecutive days off.

Responsibilities

• Running of our production lines safely and efficiently to produce top quality products
• Performing quality inspections on materials and finished product
• Quality checks to include codes, sealing and weights
• Filling of trays, glues and caps
• Reporting safety issues to maintain proper safety conditions of equipment and surroundings
• Perform specified cleaning tasks as per our daily/monthly schedules

What you\'ll need to be successful in the role (Qualifications)

• Previous experience working within a similar environment would be beneficial but not essential
• Previous experience with food safety regulations and practices would be beneficial but not essential
• All training and support will be provided during your induction period
• A motivated team player, who can work on their own initiative
• You\'re as serious about quality as we are – and ready to work hard to achieve it
• A good attendance record and a willingness to learn further skills

Due to the site closure which we estimate to be in the second half of 2027, we are offering an enhanced reward and support package to support our colleagues. This includes a pro rata retention payment (25% of average annual salary) as well as a redundancy payment based on length of service (no 2-year minimum service needed).
