Job summary

Gap Personnel Exeter are recruiting Production Operatives for an established manufacturer based at Exeter Business Park, near Sowton. You’ll join a team supplying into aerospace, marine, automotive and motorsport industries, with varied assembly, testing, quality control and dispatch.

This role offers a Monday–Friday shift with an early finish and a clear path from temp to permanent, plus hands-on experience in a technical manufacturing environment in Exeter.

Responsibilities

• Assemble motorsport components using work instructions.
• Carry out testing in line with production procedures.
• Package and label finished products.
• Move completed products to the dispatch area.
• Perform quality checks and maintain required standards.
• Operate a Cherry Picker when required.
• Follow health and safety procedures and written work instructions.
• Keep the work area clean, tidy and organised.
• Support the wider production team as required.

Looking for a Monday–Friday Production Operative job in Exeter with an early finish and the opportunity to go permanent?

gap personnel Exeter are recruiting Production Operatives for an established manufacturer based at Exeter Business Park, near Sowton Industrial Estate. You’ll be joining a team supplying components into the aerospace, marine, automotive and motorsport industries, working across assembly, testing, quality control and dispatch.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a practical, hands‑on approach who wants to build their experience within a technical manufacturing environment.

What you’ll be doing

As a Production Operative, your duties will include:

• Assembling motorsport components using work instructions
• Carrying out testing in line with production procedures
• Packaging and labelling finished products
• Moving completed products to the dispatch area
• Carrying out quality checks and maintaining required standards
• Operating a Cherry Picker when required
• Following health and safety procedures and written work instructions
• Keeping your work area clean, tidy and organised
• Supporting the wider production team as required

About You

Previous factory, production, manufacturing or assembly experience would be useful, but it’s not essential.

Hours & Pay

Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm
£12.71 per hour
