Production Operative

Smart10 Recruitment are currently looking for a Production Operative to join our client in St Albans at their state of the art Warehouse.

• Job Title: Production Operative
• Salary: GBP24,500 - GBP26,000
• Location: St Albans
• Position Type: Permanent Fulltime
• Working Hours: 08:00 - 16:30 Monday - Friday

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Operate machinery and production lines to manufacture products.
• Monitor production processes to ensure optimal efficiency and quality.
• Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on equipment.
• Inspect and test materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Assist in loading and unloading raw materials and finished goods.
• Pack products, ensuring they are properly labelled and ready for shipment.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Report any issues, malfunctions, or safety hazards to supervisors.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Adhere to quality control procedures and maintain high levels of product quality.
• Document production data, including quantities produced, downtime, and material usage.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines, using protective equipment as required.

Skills Required:

• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Basic understanding of machinery and production processes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining good attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends if required.
• Ability to lift and carry materials as needed.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills for record keeping and reporting.

Desirable:

• Forklift certification or similar industrial machinery experience.
