Job description

We are currently recruiting for 5 Production Operatives on a permanent contract to work for a well-established packaging manufacturing company based in Bingley, BD16.

Pay Rates and Benefits
  • £13.72 per hour
  • Overtime paid at 1.5 times the regular rate when available
  • Pay increase reviewed after training completion
  • Company pension scheme contributions
Shifts

4 on, 4 off rotation: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off, 12 hours per shift.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Operate extrusion and conversion machine lines, including loading and removing 25kg product rolls, packaging, checking, recording, and filling raw material bins.
  2. Follow company Health & Safety, Hygiene, and Quality policies as outlined in the employee handbook.
  3. Adhere to work procedures and ensure full training in safe systems of work.
  4. Blend and mix raw materials or use ready-produced films as specified by job card details.
  5. Operate conversion, bagging machines, and extrusion lines within your training level, producing film and bags according to Job Card specifications.
  6. Pack and warehouse products according to customer, job card, and supervisor requirements.
  7. Maintain machinery cleanliness and operate at speeds that maximize production, quality, and accuracy.
  8. Remove rejects from the system and prepare for recycling.
  9. Accurately keep production records, including quality checks and weight/quantity of rolls/boxes.
  10. Keep work areas and machinery clean, and report faults to your supervisor.
  11. Overtime may be required to cover holidays and absences.
