Job description

General Responsibilities

• Hours - Monday to Friday, 06:00-18:00

Responsible for carrying out tasks within production such as packaging products, operating and cleaning machinery, performing quality checks, maintaining good housekeeping standards to ensure a clean environment for food products, and conducting basic machine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently pack food products into bags and tubs
• Accurately document production runs
• Perform housekeeping and clean machinery in the production area
• Update production supervisor on consumables or base products needed for reordering
• Safely stack palletised goods and ensure proper packaging
• Execute stock movements as directed by the supervisor
• Perform basic machine maintenance
• Follow all safety and operational procedures

Person Specification

• Basic understanding of Excel, some engineering knowledge, and metal detection in a food environment
• Willingness to undertake additional training such as team building, collaboration exercises, and production courses

Qualifications

Essential

• No formal qualifications required
• Good time management, organisation, and problem-solving skills
• Basic hygiene and housekeeping knowledge

Desirable (not essential)

• Level 2 Food Hygiene certification
• At least 1 year of experience in food production
• At least 1 year as a production operative (entry level)
