Job summary

First Base in Bridgwater is hiring Production Operatives to support our busy manufacturing site. You will perform visual inspections, operate weighing, mixing and pressing equipment, and carry out quality checks throughout production.

We value accuracy, teamwork and a flexible approach, with shift rotations and a strong commitment to health and safety. A reliable attendance record and readiness to work across areas are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.

Location: Bridgwater

Hours: Full Time | 6.00am - 2.00pm / 2.00pm - 10.00pm shift rotation

Salary: Competitive salary + bonuses

Key Responsibilities of a Production Operative:

• Perform visual inspections of all products.
• Operate various production machinery, including weighing, mixing, and pressing equipment.
• Conduct quality checks throughout the production process.
• Carry out all operations as outlined in production paperwork and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain a clean and organised work area at all times.
• Work flexibly and be willing to be transferred to other production areas as needed.
• Perform all work activities in accordance with health and safety requirements.
• Maintain a high standard of punctuality and attendance.
• Work well under the pressure of deadlines.
