Operations Team Member

Location: Bridgend, Wales

Salary: £31,180 starting salary

Hours: 40 hours per week on a 3-week shift pattern (6am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm, 10pm - 6am), Monday to Friday, with overtime available.

Marshalls Bricks and Masonry has over 100 years of expertise in the walling sector. We design, manufacture, and deliver bricks, walling, and masonry, specializing in low carbon concrete bricks. As part of Marshalls PLC, the UK’s leading manufacturer of hard landscaping, building, and roofing products, we are expanding our team.

We are recruiting for a Production Operative, also known as an Operations Team Member, to join our manufacturing site in Bridgend.

Role Overview

You will join our team on a permanent basis, producing concrete products to customer specifications. The role involves working in a safety-conscious environment focused on quality, waste reduction, and efficiency. Responsibilities include manufacturing high-quality Decorative Architectural Masonry and other concrete products, using operational techniques and manual handling, machinery, and powered tools. Full training will be provided, and flexibility is required during this period.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential)
• FLT counterbalance licence
• Team-oriented with attention to detail
• Good command of English, both oral and written
• Knowledge of OEE (advantageous)
• Continuous Improvement mindset, always looking to enhance processes
