INSPIRED Pet Nutrition Ltd is hiring Production Operatives for our manufacturing site near Kinmel Bay, North Wales. Roles span Wet Processing, Wet Packing and Bakery with a 12-hour shift pattern (days 06:00–18:00, nights 18:00–06:00) and a monthly pay cycle.

The hourly rate is £13.31 plus a £2.00 shift allowance, totalling £15.31 per hour. Successful applicants will follow production plans, ensure quality, maintain hygiene, and actively participate in training and buddying newer colleagues to

• Experience in a similar role within Manufacturing.
• Good literacy and numerical skills; able to understand and report clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Follow production directions and ensure products are packed to correct WIP
• Maintain highest quality through compliance with Food Safety legislation and standards
• Follow Clean As You Go policy to maintain high hygiene standards
• Carry out hourly production checks and report issues to Shift Leader/Manager
• Monitor machinery effectiveness and report breakdowns to Engineering
• Promote a safe culture and report safety issues and plant damage
• Minimise waste of materials, packaging, chemicals and water
• Undertake training and assist with training of colleagues as required.

Job description

We are looking for Production Operatives to join our team in our Manufacturing site near Kinmel Bay, North Wales. We have opportunities available in various departments, including Wet Processing, Wet Packing and Bakery.

On Offer:

• Hourly rate of £13.31 plus £2.00 shift allowance (£15.31 ph)
• 24/7 shift pattern - (2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off)
• 12 hour shifts - days 06:00 - 18:00 / nights 18:00 - 06:00

The Role

TheProduction Operativerole is to ensure processes are followed within the production to ensure products are produced in line with production plans, to the highest level of quality whilst keeping our colleagues safe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Following production directions given and ensuring that products are packed using the correct combination and volumes of WIP
• Ensuring that the highest level of quality is maintained throughout the production process, through compliance with relevant Food Safety legislation, standards and requirements
• Following the ‘Clean As You Go’ policy at all times, to ensure that the department is operating to the highest standards of hygiene
• Ensuring that hourly production checks are carried out, and when any issues arise, that they are reported immediately to the Area Shift Leader or the Area Manager
• Monitors the effectiveness of machinery and equipment, through overall equipment effectiveness, where there is an issue elevate through the appropriate channels e.g. reporting breakdowns to Engineering department
• Promote a people safe culture within the department, complying with policies and procedures, reporting any safety issues and plant damage through the appropriate procedures
• Minimising waste of raw materials, products, packaging, chemicals and water whilst undertaking duties within the department
• Undertake training and assist with the training of other colleagues when required. Act as a buddy for new colleagues and provide guidance where necessary.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience in a same / similar role within Manufacturing
• A good standard of education; demonstrates good literacy and numerical skills, able to understand, communicate and report clearly in English
