Safran in the UK seeks a Production & Operations Manager - OEM to lead OE Production, Operations & Test, ensuring the business strategy is deployed and targets are met. Pitstone, Bucks-based role with responsibility for ~100 employees and a culture of high engagement.

You will align stakeholders with internal production activities to optimize inventory, improve performance and stimulate employee engagement while targeting on-time delivery and quality improvements across the end-to-end process.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in Operations and/or Production & Supply Chain management with leadership responsibility.
  • Proven track record of delivering delivery, financial performance, and customer satisfaction in Aerospace Operations.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset with ability to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Experience in program/project management including costs, deadlines, quality and risks.
  • Strong ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve performance goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead OE Operations Function of roughly 100 employees, driving a culture of high engagement.
  • Achieve Customer Satisfaction KPIs: OTD, OQD, and Notification of Escape.
  • Manage internal and external audits (Customers, AS9100, etc.).
  • Define the roadmap to deliver End to End OTD >95% for OE and quality under 250ppm.
  • Align purchasing and internal production activities for optimal performance.
  • Drive efficiency and productivity across Operations with ongoing monitoring of OTD, OQD, and people engagement.
  • Motivate and lead teams to meet day-to-day and mid-to-long-term goals including financial plans and customer satisfaction.
  • Own OE Operations review of S&OP efficiency to deliver business and financial performance.

Your Role

The Production & Operations Manager - OEM is a senior role within the business where you'll lead OE Production, Operations & Test departments, ensuring that the business strategy is deployed, and business performance targets are achieved.

You’ll develop, reinforce and align between stakeholders and internal production activities to optimize inventory, improve business performance and stimulate employee engagement.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead OE Operations Function, of roughly 100 employees, driving culture of high engagement
  • Customer Satisfaction with the following KPI's: OTD, OQD and Notification of Escape
  • Internal and External Audits (Customers, AS9100, etc.)
  • Define roadmap to deliver End to End OTD greater than 95 per cent for OE and quality under 250ppm
  • Ensure and optimise alignment between purchasing and internal production activities
  • Drive maximum efficiency and optimised productivity of resources across Operations through continuous monitoring of OTD, OQD and people engagement
  • Motivate and lead employees in organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling to ensure that desired results are achieved in day-to-day operations and in meeting mid-to long term strategic goals; financial plan (sales, margin, free cash flow) and customer satisfaction
  • Ownership for OE Operations review of S&OP efficiency to deliver business and financial performance
What You’ll Bring
  • Significant experience in Operations and/or Production & Supply Chain management, with leadership responsibility
  • Demonstrable track record of achieving delivery, financial performance, customer satisfaction & sales targets Aerospace Operations knowledge
  • Demonstrated Continuous Improvement mindset and proven ability of delivering improving efficiency, performance and cost effectiveness
  • Program/project management experience and methodologies (management of costs, deadlines, quality, risks, etc.)
  • Track record of leading and motivating teams to achieve performance goals
  • Strong leader of change management and transformation with a collaborative, coaching approach
  • Part 21G experience (preferred)
