Job summary

Thorn Baker Industrial is seeking an experienced Production MIG Welder for a busy Chesterfield manufacturing site. You will weld large industrial casings and components on a day shift, reading engineering drawings and ensuring weld quality while meeting production targets.

The role offers regular day-shift work with overtime opportunities, weekly pay, and a steady long-term assignment in a growing operation. Prior production welding experience and a weld test are required for consideration.

PRODUCTION MIG WELDER - CHESTERFIELD

MIG Welder | Production Welding | Day Shift | Ongoing Work | Weekly Pay

£15.20 per hour + overtime up to £30.40 per hour

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are currently recruiting for experienced MIG Welders / Production MIG Welders to join an established manufacturing operation in Chesterfield.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MIG Welder looking for long-term, ongoing work on a regular day shift, with consistent hours and overtime available.

MIG Welder - The Role

As a Production MIG Welder, you will be working as part of a busy manufacturing team, carrying out MIG welding on large industrial components and casings.

Your duties will include:

• MIG welding large industrial casings and components
• Production and batch MIG welding
• Working from engineering drawings
• Interpreting measurements and welding specifications
• Maintaining a consistent quality of weld
• Working to production targets within a busy manufacturing environment
• Completing repetitive welding work while maintaining quality and accuracy

MIG Welder - Hours

Monday to Friday

05:45am start

39-48 hours per week depending on workload

Early finish every Friday

Regular overtime available

Overtime available Monday to Sunday

MIG Welder - Pay

£15.20 per hour basic rate

£22.80 per hour overtime - Monday to Saturday

£30.40 per hour overtime - Sunday and Bank Holidays

Weekly pay

All overtime is optional.
