Job Description:

The role:

  • The team leader will report directly to the decorating manager and will control the production targets, control all labour to the production plan.
  • To manage all decorating procedures while adhering to company standards.
  • To control training records, work instructions, risk assessments / safe systems and quality control.
  • In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Dealing with operational issues on a daily basis.
  • Ensuring health and safety of all staff and visitors within the department.
  • Liaise with sales, print colour technical suppliers and silkscreen.
  • To input daily counts into AX.
  • To supervise development and monitor the performance of staff within the decorating department.
  • Ensuring all quality standards are met and maintained.
  • Help to recruit staff with the manager.
  • To maintain Kamishibai control and skills matric boards.
  • To order consumables within the decorating budget.

The Candidate:

  • Qualifications/Education required: Maths & English L1, ICT L1.
  • Team leading ceramic certificate NVQ level 2.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience working within the decorating department, good understanding of all decorating processes.
  • 1 year’s experience managing/supervising people.
  • 33 days holiday – mix of fixed and flexible.
