Job summary

Blue Arrow is recruiting for a Production & Manufacturing Operator in Perth, Scotland. This role supports a fast-paced manufacturing environment with machine operation, quality control and basic maintenance responsibilities.

Immediate start available and the contract is Temporary to Permanent. Ideal candidates will have prior production experience, the ability to follow strict instructions, and a solid understanding of health and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating production machinery.
• Good attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and production specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Understanding of workplace Health & Safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently
• Load and unload materials and monitor machine performance
• Set up and adjust machinery to meet production specifications
• Carry out quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process
• Record production data, quality checks and batch information accurately
• Complete daily machine checks and basic preventative maintenance
• Maintain high housekeeping standards within the production area
• Work towards daily production targets while maintaining quality standards
• Follow all Health & Safety, ISO and operational procedures
• Support warehouse operations and deliveries when required
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure production deadlines are met

Hourly Rate: £13.45 per hour

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:45pm (1-hour unpaid break)

Start Date: Immediate Start Available

The Role

This role is based within a manufacturing facility where you will be working around machinery and production equipment. The position involves standing for extended periods, manual handling, repetitive tasks and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
