About the Role

As Production Manager, you will lead all operational activities across a high-volume manufacturing site, overseeing key functions such as production, warehousing, packing, dispatch, and maintenance. You will be instrumental in driving performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People (SQDCP).

This is more than just a leadership role – it’s a chance to make a real impact on output, efficiency, and long-term strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of approximately 50 staff across 3 rotating shifts
  • Drive schedule adherence, production utilisation, and on-time delivery
  • Champion a safety-first culture while upholding environmental responsibilities
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles including 5S and IRMS
  • Lead performance improvement projects across cost, quality, and throughput
  • Coach and develop supervisors and team members to exceed performance expectations
  • Oversee warehouse, packing, dispatch, and temporary management of maintenance
What You’ll Need
  • 3+ years’ production leadership experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting
  • Strong command of ERP systems, planning tools, and Microsoft Office
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to manage change and deliver results under pressure
  • Demonstrated experience of driving KPI improvement across SQDCP metrics
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
KPIs by March 2026
  • Schedule Adherence > 80%
  • Production Utilisation > 80%
  • OTD > 90%
  • Past Due Backlog < £50k
