Job Description:

Wise Employment is recruiting for a Night Production Manager (Food) for an established food manufacturing company based in Callington, Cornwall.

This is a permanent, on-site role working rotating weekend shifts: one weekend (days) Friday to Sunday, 6am to 6pm, and the following weekend (nights) Friday to Sunday, 6pm to 6am. The role offers a competitive salary, shift premiums for night shifts, and an excellent bonus package including:

The Night Production Manager will oversee daily and long-term activities within the department, ensuring production plans are met.

Responsibilities include:
  • Leading and motivating staff, conducting training, appraisals, and coaching
  • Planning and organizing work, setting objectives, and monitoring progress
  • Ensuring health and safety checks are completed
  • Achieving KPIs related to efficiency, quality, and profitability
  • Performance evaluation and variance management
  • Managing labour during shifts
  • Understanding allergen controls
Qualifications and Experience:

Applicants should have experience in a supervisory or management role within food manufacturing, with hands-on department management experience. A Level 3+ in Food Safety and Level 2+ in Health & Safety (IOSH or above) are desirable. Strong understanding of HACCP and leadership skills are essential.
