Overview

Selux Corporation is hiring a Production Manager to oversee the transition to Lean Assembly at our Highland, NY manufacturing location. This is a full-time position with excellent affordable medical, dental, and vision benefits, paid holidays, paid time off, and 401k match.

Pay Rate: $90,000 - $110,000 /yr.

4 day work week - Monday - Thursday 6am - 4:30 pm

Qualifications

Job Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or production management, preferably in an assembly environment.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience required.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing teams to achieve production goals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Knowledge of quality control principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering and manufacturing drawings.
  • Advanced computer skills in MRP/ERP, Microsoft Word, Excel. Able to create and generate simple to complex reports, charts, and graphs, routinely.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, reach within hands and arms length, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

  • Will be required to work in manufacturing and warehouse areas. Will be exposed to a noisy environment routinely.
Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of the implementation of all lean-inventory, manufacturing measures, quality control set up, and product testing.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop assigned production teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring optimal workflow and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and manage the daily operations of the assigned department to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Achieve labor component and implement time-saving initiatives.
  • Ensure that production schedules are adhered to, ensuring timely delivery of products. Maintain on-time delivery at 95% or above, routinely.
  • Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure that all assembly processes adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Liaison between manufacturing and engineering. Provide feedback and foster cooperation between product designers and manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.
