Production/Project Manager - Joinery

About the Role:

Adore Recruitment is partnering with a prestigious high-end design and production company, renowned for delivering exceptional bespoke projects for discerning clients. We are seeking a Project Manager with a carpentry or joinery production background to oversee both the management and production of top-tier projects. This role blends project oversight with production responsibilities, ensuring that the projects run smoothly from design through to completion, with the highest quality standards in both craftsmanship and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Manage and oversee all stages of projects, from initial design through to production and final installation.
  • Production Management: Coordinate production schedules, ensuring that designs (from SolidWorks or similar software) are efficiently turned into high-quality outputs.
  • Supervise and lead carpentry/joinery teams, ensuring top-notch craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout the production process.
  • Work closely with the design team to interpret production designs and ensure accuracy in technical specifications.
  • Oversee the installation of projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and design details.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to maintain strong relationships and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage materials, procurement, and resource allocation to ensure smooth production timelines and project delivery.
  • Ensure strict adherence to quality control processes during both production and installation phases.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety standards on-site.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure the projects are on track and to troubleshoot any potential issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of all project phases, including project timelines, production progress, and installation schedules.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager with a background in carpentry or joinery.
  • Comprehensive understanding of both project management and production processes, including design, production, and installation.
  • Strong experience using design software like SolidWorks or similar for project production and technical specifications.
  • Ability to manage high-end, bespoke projects with a focus on quality and client satisfaction.
  • Experience in managing carpentry/joinery teams and coordinating multiple stages of a project.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to managing challenges that arise during production and installation.
  • Willingness to travel across London, the South East, and Nationwide if needed.
