Overview

We need an experienced Production Manager to run our manufacturing facility in Rutland. Reporting into the Managing Director and running a facility which is engineering and assembly, including production planning. There is a genuine Director level career path for you if you are the right person. Your leadership experience should cover some of all the following: machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, coating/spraying. If this is you, please get in touch!

BASIC SALARY: Up to £55,000 dependant on your relevant experience

LOCATION: Rutland

Responsibilities
  • Have responsibility for the successful production and despatch of products to customers.
  • Oversee production planning and procurement to ensure parts, components and raw materials are available when needed so production isn't disrupted.
  • Accountability for reviewing WIP and closing WIP jobs down fully when they're completed.
  • Manage production time sheets to ensure production accuracy.
  • Support Supervisors to resolve production issues and manage the shop floor teams.
  • Develop and lead the production facility with a hands-on approach to management and continuous improvement where appropriate.
Requirements
  • You will have proven work experience as a Production Manager, Controller, Coordinator or similar from an engineered, industrial or machinery manufacturing environment.
  • Background in machinery or equipment production is acceptable; preference given to Automotive, Special Purpose Machinery, Vehicles or Industrial sectors.
  • You will be commercially minded and focus on customer needs, understanding the impact that the production department can have on the overall business.

We supply machines and equipment to the National Grid / Power Grid & smaller energy contractors, and into multiple sectors such as Civil Engineering & Telecoms.
