StoneX has accquired a precious metals processing company in West Bromwich which specialises in the recovery and recycling of precious metals, with expertise in extracting silver, gold, platinum and palladium from various materials including photographic, electronics and industrial waste. The integration of the two companies will add refining capabilities to the StoneX Global Metals business and create opportunities for us to offer multiple products across the market.

Job Purpose and Responsibilities

OVERVIEW

The Production Manager Assistant will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Production Manager and wider production team. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting production processes. The Assistant will help ensure smooth day-to-day operations by coordinating documentation, tracking KPIs, supporting compliance efforts, and facilitating communication across departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in preparing and maintaining production reports, KPIs, and performance dashboards.
  • Support scheduling and coordination of production activities and meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, quality checks, and compliance documentation.
  • Liaise with internal departments (e.g., supply chain, logistics, quality) to support production flow.
  • Help track and follow up on continuous improvement actions and CAPEX project updates.
  • Where required, assist with health & safety documentation and training records.
  • Support with Environmental returns administration every quarter.
  • Provide administrative support including document preparation, filing, and data entry.
  • Support onboarding and training coordination for new production staff.
  • Help manage inventory records and liaise with procurement for material needs.
  • Perform general office duties to support the production team.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in an administrative or coordinator role, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
