Production Manager

Location: Coventry

Shift Pattern: 06:00 - 14:00, Monday to Friday (some flexibility required)

Salary: £50,088.67

Becketts Foods is a leading food processing company operating in the CV2 area of Coventry since 1983. We pride ourselves on providing our colleagues with stability and long-term career prospects.

We are currently seeking a Production Manager for our day shift at the gammon processing site. The role involves managing approximately 40 colleagues, leading them to meet KPIs, and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing, coaching, and developing team members across all areas.
  2. Introducing new ideas and implementing changes to enhance operations.
  3. Promoting a strong health, safety, and food safety culture.
  4. Managing the Order Fulfilment supervisory team to deliver plans and meet KPIs.
  5. Overseeing production control documents and ensuring accurate paperwork.
  6. Conducting regular shift review meetings to communicate achievements and set targets.
  7. Collaborating with departments such as engineering and hygiene to foster strong working relationships.

Skills and experience required include:

  • Experience in Food Production Management.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Self-motivated with a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with control metrics, yields, and performance data.
  • Experience in a fast-paced chilled food environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and understanding of ERP and shop floor data systems.
  • Ability to make objective decisions considering all factors.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
