Job Description:

As our Production Manager, you will be responsible for full site production management, including overseeing people management and leading Corrugated, Timber, and Dispatch Teams. Your role will involve developing and executing business strategies, driving production efficiency, and ensuring continuous improvement in quality and waste reduction. You will also manage supplier relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of plant production, including process review and implementation.
• Organize and monitor daily and monthly workflows to meet targets.
• Ensure production accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Monitor outputs and resolve issues promptly.
• Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and training to teams.
• Drive performance improvements and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Maintain standards related to Quality, ISO, and FSC.
• Support sustainability objectives.
• Collaborate with the General Manager on strategic planning.
• Manage stock control and supplier relationships efficiently.

Person Specification:

• Understanding of corrugated packaging and timber production is preferred but not essential.
• Experience in a similar role with knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards.
• Proven leadership skills with team supervision experience.
• Strong character and confidence.
• Knowledge of lean methodologies such as Six Sigma and Kaizen.
• Experience leading change initiatives is advantageous.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• ILM Level 5 qualification or willingness to obtain it.
