Electroplating Manager

  • Annual Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
  • Location: Watford, Hertfordshire
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an Electroplating Manager to oversee the plating and jigging department within a prestigious facility known for its high-quality finishes and standards. The successful candidate will manage a team of highly skilled professionals in a well-equipped, safety-focused environment. This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards expected by the company's distinguished clientele in the aerospace and luxury sectors.

Day-to-day Of The Role

  • The Electroplating Manager will wire metal parts onto jigs for immersion in plating tanks and oversee the operation through various plating tank lines to apply finishes.
  • They will work closely with Quality Inspectors to ensure that all products meet the required standards.
  • The manager will conduct daily production meetings to plan work schedules and set priorities, ensuring that deadlines are met and the output is of the highest quality.
  • They will collaborate with the Head of Operations and the Managing Director to facilitate workflow and resolve technical issues.
  • The role includes engaging with Laboratory Technicians and suppliers for solution analysis and compliance testing.
  • The Electroplating Manager will also be responsible for implementing and managing health and safety and environmental procedures across the factory floor.
  • Participation in risk assessments, incident responses, and compliance support activities will be required.
