Job summary

A leading company in bespoke machinery seeks a Production Manager. You will manage a team of eight, oversee production in the CNC workshop, and ensure high product quality. This role requires strong leadership skills and experience in manufacturing processes, particularly with CNC machinery.

Job description

The company is a family business founded over 30 years ago. Having grown from a small fabrication workshop to now occupying a leading role manufacturing bespoke machines and production lines for the food industry.

As the Production Manager you will oversee the CNC workshop, assembly and finishing departments and involves managing a team of 8 across various departments. Additionally, the setting up of and maintaining production procedures, producing CAM programs when required and optimising manufacturing processes and ensuring high product quality.

What we would like from the Production Manager:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Proven experience in managing production processes in the engineering sector
• Experience with 5 axis CNC Milling machines, CNC Lathes and Manual Lathe
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Experience using Edgecam or similar CAM programming package

What we offer the Production Manager:

• Salary up to £50,000 to £55,000 doe
• 40-hour week (8am till 5pm Mon-Thurs and 8am till 2.30pm Fri)
• 23 days annual leave bank holidays
• Pension
• Unofficial annual bonus
