Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Profit Sharing

The Company

A leading UK manufacturer of rotationally moulded polyethylene tanks and liquid storage solutions is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee their specialist manufacturing operations. The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled Production Manager with extensive experience in rotational moulding and plastics manufacturing. The role requires a deep understanding of polymer processing, mould design, and production efficiencies within a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the production facility, ensuring that all processes run efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the rotational moulding production team to meet output, quality, and efficiency targets
• Optimise moulding processes to improve cycle times, reduce waste, and enhance product consistency
• Oversee mould maintenance and tooling, ensuring correct set-up, upkeep, and troubleshooting of equipment
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures, ensuring all products meet customer specifications and industry standards
• Develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for rotational moulding and associated processes
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safe working practices
• Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to support product development and new tooling integration
• Manage raw material procurement and stock control, ensuring optimal inventory levels for smooth production flow
• Train and develop staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior production role within a rotational moulding or plastics manufacturing environment
• Strong technical knowledge of polymer processing, mould design, and machine operation
• Experience with troubleshooting moulding defects and process inefficiencies
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and process improvement methodologies
• Excellent leadership skills, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams
• Ability to analyse production data and implement efficiency improvements
