Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading precision aerospace manufacturing business to recruit a Production Manager to join their Sheffield facility.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Manager will lead and manage the operations unit and will be instrumental in creating and sustaining a collaborative and successful working environment.

Duties and responsibilities of the Production Manager include:

• Managing business unit performance against production targets
• Drive and deliver process improvement projects
• Conducting accident investigations promptly ensuring robust preventative measures are put in place
• Creation and adherence to a sustainable 6S /CI culture
• Driving Quality performance as part of site zero defects strategy
• Responsible for all people management including absence, appraisals, disciplinaries, training and development
• Assist in the management of inventory, WIP and finished goods in line with optimal levels
• Implementation and execution of visual production planning across all product lines
• Maintaining active communication cross-functionally and with the customer

We are keen to speak with Production Managers with the following:

• Experienced leader in a high pressure manufacturing environment managing teams of 50+ skilled shop floor operatives
• Ideally six sigma qualified, or previous experience implementing lean processes
• Results driven with experience driving KPI’s
• IT literate, with strong competency using Microsoft Excel

To be successful in the role the Production Manager must have outstanding leadership skills, experience in delivering improvement projects with a quality 'right first time' mindset.
