Production Manager Required In Sandbach, Cheshire

Are you an experienced Production Manager or Operations Manager with previous experience in the Automotive or Fabrication industry? Are you familiar with working to IATF 16949 standards and Global 8D problem solving?

We are seeking a Production Manager to join a long-standing manufacturer in Sandbach, Cheshire. This role involves working day shifts from Monday to Friday (43.5 hours per week) and offers a salary between GBP 45,000 and GBP 55,000 per annum (DOE).

The ideal candidate will have managed a team of more than 75 staff and have some experience working with a CAPEX plan. Experience as a Fabricator Welder or involvement in Welding and Fabrication, progressing to a Production Manager role, would be highly regarded.

What You Will Do

1. Lead and manage production teams, including over 100 operators and team leaders, to deliver operational excellence.
2. Develop and implement a production plan to achieve On Time in Full (OTIF) deliveries of over 98%.
3. Drive performance metrics related to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People (SQCDP), fostering a culture of zero waste.
4. Oversee the introduction of new products and technologies, ensuring safety and efficiency.
5. Utilise tools such as 8D Problem Solving, 5S, OEE, SMED, and TPM to optimise processes.
6. Inspire and train team leaders to manage daily production activities independently, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.

What You Will Bring

1. Proven experience in a Production or Operations Management role within the automotive or fabrication industry.
2. Experience with Global 8D problem solving.
3. Experience managing teams exceeding 75 staff members.
4. Successful track record in implementing production plans and achieving high delivery performance.
5. Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 standards and lean tools application.
6. Exceptional communication, planning, and organisational skills, with a proactive approach.
7. Experience managing large teams, including remote management across shift patterns.
