Production Manager (Precision Manufacturing)

Are you experienced in CNC machining and looking to join a well-established company, which have customers nationwide, that offers progression and an early finish on a Friday?

Do you have experience in a supervisor position and looking to make the move to a managerial position, in a role where you will lead a team and be expected to mentor others around you?

This company was established over seven decades ago and in that time has grown to employ over ninety people. The company operates out of a 70,000 square foot facility and are a mechanical component manufacturer. Distributing to both national and international clients, the company are looking to extensively grow over the coming years.

In this role the suitable candidate will be expected to spearhead the production side of the business and be responsible for a team of 25, with 3 direct reports. You will need to mentor the team and maintain the operational structure of the workshop to ensure that production deadlines are met.

The Role:

• 8:30 - 5 Monday - Thursday 8:30 - 2 Friday
• Lead the production side of the business and work to ensure manufacturing deadlines are met
• Lead a team of 25 on the workshop floor
• Remain informed on your area of the business and conduct weekly reports to the MD
• Work to optimise production efficiency and ensure a seamless workflow across a range of machining processes
• Collaborate with the production planner, engineer and supervisor to enhance the production processes

The Person:

• Experience in a precision engineering environment
• Experience in a managerial position
