Joining IPS as a Production Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the Co-pack Operation to meet planned volume and commercial targets in accordance with Quality and Safety standards. You will be a role model for best practice at all times and through innovation deliver cost savings and provide support to the site.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40-hour week.

Key Duties of a Production Manager:

  • Primary point of contact with the Customer.
  • Effectively maximise production efficiency to ensure plan is met on an hourly/daily basis.
  • Motivate a team of people to meet production targets.
  • Ensure the final product meets client specifications.
  • Utilise the onsite Warehouse Management systems.
  • Adhere to and promote best practice in accordance with company health, safety, and quality regulations.
  • Ensure all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure that all areas comply with hygienic audits, both internal and external.
  • Ensure GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and housekeeping (clean as you go) are strictly adhered to.
  • Assist in the development of a skills matrix for all production workers.
  • Attend Line Leader meetings, and relevant training courses, as and when required.
  • Identify and develop Line Leaders to promote success planning.
  • Training and development of new starters.
  • Be a role model for best practice.
  • Monitor, control, and minimise waste.
  • Play an active part in continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience within a production/c co-pack environment.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team.
  • Able to communicate in a positive and clear manner.
  • Knowledge of procedures and actively demonstrates compliance.
  • Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise work to strict deadlines.
  • A commitment to respond to changing customer needs.
  • Able to work towards targets/KPIs.
  • Recognises and promotes the importance of continuous improvement.
  • Develops best practice and drives continuous improvement in all aspects of performance to achieve service objectives.
