Production Manager - Food Manufacturing
Newry

Vickerstock is proud to exclusively partner our leading Client in the Food Manufacturing Sector with the appointment of an experienced Production Manager for their Newry based facility..

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and growing manufacturer with a strong reputation in its sector. You'll be given the autonomy and support to make a real difference while working in a collaborative, team-focused environment.

What we have to offer:
Salary: £45-50k
Holidays: 28 (incl. 8 stats)

About the Role:
Reporting to senior leadership, the successful candidate will take responsibility for overseeing day-to-day production across a fast-paced site. You'll lead your teams to ensure targets across output, efficiency, waste reduction, and quality are consistently achieved or exceeded.

  • Managing and developing production staff, ensuring clear communication, effective shift planning, and performance management.
  • Monitoring and driving performance against core KPIs including productivity, waste, quality, and yield.
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality assurance, and food safety standards at all times.
  • Collaborating with other departments including technical, engineering, and planning to maintain smooth factory operations.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities for cost savings or efficiency gains.


Your essential ingredients:Proven experience in a production leadership role within a factory setting.

  • A strong working knowledge of manufacturing KPIs, Lean principles, and continuous improvement.
  • Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and quality standards (e.g. BRC, HACCP).
  • Excellent communication and people-management skills with the ability to lead and develop teams.
  • A flexible, hands-on approach and strong problem-solving capability.
