Location: Milton Keynes

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30am to 4:30pm. 3:30pm finish on a Friday

Reports To: Operations Director

Our client is a manufacturing company specializing in bespoke interior products supplied to the construction industry.

Production Manager Job Overview

As the Production Manager, you will oversee manufacturing processes, ensuring smooth and efficient operations within our warehouse and factory. You will lead a team of supervisors and factory staff in a dynamic environment, ensuring the accurate and timely production and shipment of goods. Your role is vital in maintaining high standards and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing.

Production Manager Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership & Management: Lead the production team to ensure efficient operations and adaptable working practices.
  2. Process Optimization: Manage production flow using LEAN principles to maximize efficiency.
  3. Order Fulfillment: Ensure all orders are produced and dispatched on time and in full.
  4. Quality Control: Oversee quality assurance processes to meet high standards.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for ongoing process enhancements.
  6. Inventory Management: Collaborate with purchasing to maintain accurate stock levels and avoid excess inventory.
  7. Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  8. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain machinery and ensure statutory inspections are completed timely.
  9. Quality Management: Uphold ISO 9001 standards within the quality management system.
  10. Customer Satisfaction: Ensure prompt and accurate handling of goods to meet customer expectations.
  11. Capacity Planning: Plan and scale production capacity aligned with business growth projections.
  12. Team Recruitment & Development: Recruit, onboard, and manage team performance.
