The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Manager to oversee and lead production operations within our bioprocess automation business unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in advanced manufacturing processes, lean principles, and team leadership within a high-tech or robotics environment. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production of robotic systems and components.

What you will do

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety regulations are met or exceeded.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies, production plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams to optimise product design for manufacturability.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs related to production efficiency, downtime, quality, and labour utilisation.
  • Ensure adherence to lean manufacturing principles and drive waste reduction initiatives across the facility.
  • Manage budgets, production schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

What you'll bring

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience, within the robotics, automation, or high-tech manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing
  • Proven experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
