About the Role

Aspion Search is currently seeking a talented Production Manager to join a rapidly growing, ambitious company within a niche sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, coordinate, and supervise production activities to meet daily and weekly targets. Ensure all fire doors are manufactured in compliance with relevant fire safety standards (BS EN, UL, NFPA).
  2. Lead and manage the production team, including hiring, training, conducting performance reviews, and overseeing daily operations. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  3. Implement and enforce strict quality control processes to ensure all products meet fire door certification requirements. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to identify and address non-conformities.
  4. Identify inefficiencies in the production process and implement continuous improvement initiatives to maximize output, reduce waste, and enhance product quality using lean manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma principles where appropriate.
  5. Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and components, ensuring supply meets production demand. Work with procurement and suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels and negotiate favorable terms.
  6. Ensure compliance with safety protocols on the production floor, minimizing workplace accidents and maintaining a safe environment for all employees. Stay updated with health and safety regulations related to manufacturing.
About You:
  1. Proven track record of managing production processes, meeting targets, and driving efficiency improvements.
  2. Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  3. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  4. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
