Job description

Handley James are proud to be partnering with a well-established manufacturer, renowned for delivering high quality bespoke products. As a result of continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Production Manager to further strengthen their manufacturing facility. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to join a well-established SME and make a real difference to the business.

As Production Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled operators and you will champion best practices, drive continuous improvement, and play a pivotal role in developing our production standards and capabilities.

You will take full responsibility for:

  • Lead and manage the production department to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality products
  • Optimise the utilisation and value of existing resources, equipment, and assets
  • Drive, improve, and sustain Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) across all lines
  • Implement practical Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives

An experienced Production Supervisor, Production Manager or Manufacturing Manager you will have gained experience in a growing manufacturer. Ideally you will have gained experience in an established business and know what good looks like. You will be proven in lean or making practical improvements that add value to the bottom line and will have successfully implemented new processes to good effect.
