Production Manager Manufacturing Sector

Location: Worthing
Salary: Up to GBP50,000

Reports To: General Manager
Job Type: Full–Time

Are you an experienced Production Manager with a passion for operational excellence and team leadership? We are seeking an ndividual to lead our production operations, ensuring timely, cost–effective, and high–quality manufacturing output.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all production activities to meet project and sales targets.
  • Develop and manage production schedules, ensuring timely delivery and optimal resource use.
  • Lead capacity and material planning, including subcontractor coordination.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Monitor and report on production performance, including cost, quality, and delivery metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross–functional teams including Engineering, Quality, and Procurement.
  • Maintain accurate records for traceability, maintenance, and compliance.
  • Support procurement processes and provide cost data for bids and tenders.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and legally compliant working environment.
  • Supervise, motivate, and develop production staff, identifying training needs and resolving grievances.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a production management role within manufacturing and assembly environments.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Solid understanding of production costing, scheduling, and quality control.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and continuous improvement methodologies.
