An established industry player is seeking a Production Leader to drive daily operations and team development. Key Responsibilities
Production Leadership
Lead the planning and execution of daily production activities to meet throughput goals.
Ensure seamless coordination with the Logistics department regarding deliveries, collections, and vehicle use.
Maintain a real-time overview of all production aspects to identify and address issues before they escalate.
Oversee and develop effective AM/PM huddles for daily planning, performance review, issue management, and team coordination.
Host a daily update meeting with the COO to provide a clear overview of production operations and performance.
Manage and support the production team, understanding their strengths, weaknesses, and training needs.
Deliver follow-up training and guidance on processes, machinery use, and production techniques.
Continuously mentor and inspire your team, dealing swiftly with issues that could affect morale or company culture.
Grow your team in alignment with the company vision, both in skillset and mindset.
Take ownership of production-related projects, ensuring tasks are followed through from planning to execution.
Prioritise tasks that benefit the team most, and maintain a clear record of progress using tools like Trello.
Carry out project research independently: contact suppliers/customers, request quotes, interpret needs, and present 3 clear options/solutions to management.
When approved, implement projects and train others on what was done and learned.
Keep developing your own skills, knowledge, and management techniques.
Become an expert on all factory processes, enabling you to give sound, experience-based advice.
