Job description

Our client is a fast-growing Mechanical Contractor that Manufacture & Install specialist products for a range of highly regulated projects, including Nuclear & Rail and are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee operations within a busy production facility.

Who This Job Would Suit

This position would suit a hands-on, results-driven professional with strong leadership and communication skills. Ideal candidates will have experience managing production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, be committed to maintaining safety and quality standards, and demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to meet production targets safely and efficiently.
  • Drive continuous improvement in quality, cost control, and productivity.
  • Promote and enforce a strong health and safety culture across all production areas.
  • Manage and develop a skilled, motivated, and flexible production workforce including 3 x direct reports and 20 x indirect.
  • Analyse performance data to identify and implement improvement opportunities.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in Production / Manufacturing Management within a Welding / Fabrication environment.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • HNC or equivalent in Engineering / Manufacturing discipline is preferred.

Location - Bury
Salary - circa £45k - £50k (dependent on experience)
Permanent - circa 37 hrs per week - 0800-1630 (Mon-Thurs), 0800-1330 (Fri)
