Job summary

Production Manager role at a major West Yorkshire manufacturing group. You will lead ~40 staff across 2 shifts, monitor quality, cost, delivery and safety, and work with planning, stores, maintenance to hit targets. 40-hour week, day shifts with flexible start times.

Responsibilities

• Leading, developing and motivating 2 shifts of Supervisors/Team Leaders and Assemblers, comprising of around 40 people in total
• Monitoring the quality, cost, delivery and safety parameters in the specific area
• Maintaining regular contact with Planning, Stores, Warehouse, Distribution and Maintenance to ensure targets are achieved
• Leading departmental and people projects such as Annual Merit Reviews, Non-Conformance/Compliance Quality Investigations and Quality and Safety Audits
• Deliver quarterly briefs & presentations to the senior management team

The employer is based in West Yorkshire, the successful Production Manager will easily be able to commute from surrounding towns & cities including Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Halifax, Oldham, Pontefract, Barnsley and Castleford.

Key responsibilities of the Production Manager will include:

• Leading, developing and motivating 2 shifts of Supervisors/Team Leaders and Assemblers, comprising of around 40 people in total
• Monitoring the quality, cost, delivery and safety parameters in the specific area
• Maintaining regular contact & communication with various internal departments to ensure manufacturing targets are continuously achieved; these departments include Planning, Stores, Warehouse, Distribution and Maintenance
• Leading departmental and people projects such as Annual Merit Reviews, Non-Conformance/Compliance Quality Investigations and Quality and Safety Audits with a strategic outlook to deliver business objectives
• Deliver quarterly briefs & presentations to the senior management team

Working Hours of the Production Manager:

40 Hours per week, working a sociable day shift pattern with flexibility offered around start & finish times (8AM-4PM/9AM-5PM for example).

In return, the Production Manager will receive:

• Base Salary: Up to £55,000.00 depending on experience
• Holiday Entitlement: 33 Days (incl.Bank Holidays) - rising to 38 days with continued service
